When a matter turns on the state of a site — encroachment, construction damage, nuisance, contested conditions, pre-demolition state — you need a current, dated, independent visual record before anything changes. This page answers the diligence questions solicitors ask before instructing us.

What we are, and what we are not

We are a CASA-licensed aerial data capture operator. We are not licensed surveyors, and we do not determine boundaries, certify levels, or offer opinions on what our imagery shows. We capture; you and your experts interpret. That separation is deliberate — it is what makes the record useful to you. We work to a capture brief, not to a desired outcome, and we will say so in writing.

What you receive

  • Metadata-intact originals — every frame retains its EXIF record (timestamp, GPS position, camera parameters), delivered alongside processed outputs, with file hashes recorded in an integrity ledger so any copy can be verified against the originals.
  • A written capture methodology statement — who flew, when, under what authorisation, what equipment, what flight plan, what processing was applied and what was not.
  • Orthomosaic and oblique imagery — the orthomosaic gives a measurable, to-scale record of the whole site on one dated image; obliques give the context a court or expert can read at a glance.
  • A signed capture statement on request — we will put our name to how the record was made.

The questions we get asked, answered plainly

Turnaround: urgent matters can usually be flown within days, weather and airspace permitting; processed deliverables typically follow within 48 hours of capture. When state matters more than polish, same-day raw handover is available.

Independence and conflicts: we act on instruction from either side of a matter, we disclose prior engagements on the same site, and our deliverable is identical regardless of who instructs us.

Confidentiality: secure delivery, no publication, no portfolio use of matter-related imagery, ever.

Repeatability: flight plans are recorded, so the same site can be recaptured later from the same positions — useful where change over time is the issue.

When to bring us in

Early. The most common regret we see is a record that starts after works began or after the damage was disturbed. A baseline capture is inexpensive against the cost of arguing about what was there.
